FUND
RAISERS
The
money raised from our fund raisers goes towards the
Young Women in Public Affairs scholarship, the Peru
tuition project and other service projects as well as
our annual commitment to donate one-third of any funds
raised to the Zonta International Foundation for their
work for women internationally.
There
is no reason that fund raising can’t be fun, and the
Zontians of Hampton Roads certainly had a good time this
summer at three Suffolk TGIFs passing out beer to the
patrons, listening to the wonderful music and even
earning a few tips along the way. All this while
enjoying each others’ company.
The
Zonta Club of Hampton Roads also has the opportunity to
spread the joy that getting flowers can bring by selling
Norfolk Florist cards. These cards, which sell for $25,
allows the purchaser to pick up “free” flowers once a
month for a year - a $200 value. The club earns $10 for
each card sold. The sale takes place in November and
December. If anyone is interested in purchasing a
