Zonta Club of Hampton Roads Announces
Women's Achievement Award Winners

The Zonta Club of Hampton Roads, a member of Zonta International, is pleased to announce the winners of its 8th annual Women’s Achievement Awards. The award is given in recognition of the contribution these women have made to improve the status of women through leadership, advocacy, and service. Recipients were selected after a public nomination process.

2009 Honorees:

Kathleen S. Magee, Co-founder and President, Operation Smile
 

Teressa Rerras, Founder, Learning Through Photography Foundation
 

Katherine Treherne, M.D., board certified Dermatologist, member of The Links, Inc. and Friends of Hampton Roads, Inc.

The awards dinner and ceremony took place on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at 6:00 pm at the Old Dominion University Webb Center, Norfolk, VA.  Sandra Parker, WVEC-TV News Anchor, was the Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening.  The Honorable Meyera Oberndorf and Cecelia Tucker, both club members and past honorees, assisted with the awards presentations.  Special music was provided by the Bayside High School Advanced Orchestra led by Kathy Jasper, Director.
